Himanshu Kenjale joined Cary Orthopedics as a physician assistant in 2024. In 1996, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Alternative Medicine (Homeopathy) in India and practiced as a family physician for five years. In 2003, he completed his Master’s in Molecular Biology at the University of Kansas. He worked as a research associate at the University of Kansas Medical Center developing and testing HIV DNA vaccines in primates. His inner calling led him to apply for the Duke University Physician Assistant Program in 2006.

After earning his degree, Kenjale joined UNC Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In 2010, he transferred to Baptist Hospital Burn Center in Winston-Salem. He proudly recalls that treating burn patients was the most challenging and at the same time most fulfilling work he has ever done in his life.

With valuable experience in managing burn injuries, Kenjale joined Wake Spine and Pain Specialists in Raleigh and was instrumental in the growth of the practice for over 12 years. In 2024, Cary Orthopedics Spine Surgery welcomed him with his vast array of knowledge and experience in managing chronic pain and spine disorders.

Kenjale is a certified ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support) trainer, guest lecturer at the Duke PA program, and member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He is a cricket enthusiast, loves to travel and is a fan of P.G. Wodehouse books.
